An especially airtight instrument with a strong, full-bodied sound. The curved ends provide extra holding comfort, and it's ideal for overblowing. Get the one virtuoso Howard Levy prefers. Curved cover plates extend the entire length of the harmonica, providing increased resonant capacity. Reeds are set close to the open-framed mouthpiece and respond to the most subtle of commands, making the Golden Melody perfect for overblowing as well as bending.

I've been a performing musician for over thirty years and a harp player for about 20 years. I've tried Marine Band, Blues, cheap Korean, all kinds of harps and I don't think you get any more value than these Golden Melodies. Excellent tone, easy bending, and long lasting. The curved coeners make them more comfortable to grip and they just sound righteous. The only drawback is they don't hold well in my "mandies". (That metal contraption that Bob Dylan and others use to hold the harp while playing guitar at the same time.)

Well. This is my first harp in the key of A.But I have had a key of C and I just adore it. I am learning for about a year now. I can not say enough about the Golden Melody.
It just fits me. The size of my mouth head, hands. I dunno. The other Hohner harps just were too small for my hands.
The holes a a little father apart. Once you break that thing in you really start to hear it develop it's own voice.
It is your voice I suppose coming through it's voice to somehow merge into one.
Bravo you German harmonica making people. Rave on!
